Kitchen - tableware

I met  Marlene on Elle Inside Design, I liked her concept and I thought I must share this with you!  This is work from Marlene Kleinbloesem. She is now gratuated from Artemis Academy in Amsterdam and she designed kitchen- and tableware collection. Her inspiration is based on the traditional craft of the butcher. It is a fictitious assignment, so unfortunately it's not in production yet!

Elisabeth Leerssen from the Textile Department of Rietveld Academy, provided the jury with a beautifully designed thesis that was also content wise very interesting. She was also on Elle Inside Design . Beautiful .. 

New Iittala collection

What do you think of the new Iittala collection? Designed by Sarjaton. I like the pattern and the colors. They are all different and great to mix !

Inside Design

Next weekend is inspiration weekend! Every year, Elle Decoration is organizing a design event in Amsterdam, named Inside Design. It is located on Ijburg, an island in amsterdam. It takes place all over the island, where you can follow a route. 

This year is even more special because my new assistant Aimée is showing her exam project. Her concept is Scandinavian and she also used a lot of contrast with colors and materials. Are you curious? Come and see!

What is the best start of the day? ..Having breakfast with the new Vipp Ceramic collection! 

Designed by a Danish ceramicist Annemette Kissow. Hand-casted in the finest quality porcelain with surfaces glazed on the inside and water polished by hand on the outside.

Mingus pendant

These are the new lights of Light Years, designed by Cecilie Manz. We already know the Caravaggio in beautiful matt colors, but the Mingus is even nicer! I like the colors and the soft shape of the pendant.

busy days

Totally mad days are laying behind us and are still coming. We are working like mad woman to get everything together for the launch of BYAPRILANDMAY next month. The last products are arriving and we are editing our photoshoot images, going through the website design....and many more. As from next week I am enjoying two weeks off with my family with sunshine, relaxing and enjoying each other. But before that some things have to be ready or have to be in progress.

This all caused me to have just that lack of time to be posting daily here on the blog. But I promise you things will get better when all the crazy days and work will become a little bit more at ease. And of course there is this little miracle and myself I have to take care of :)

So taking some rest once and a while is okay :)
